The winter is knocking at our doors. The cold is coming and our skin is greeting the weather with some extra dryness. Skin dries out in the winter for several reasons: The ambient humidity is lower. There is cold dry air outside, and hot dry air (if one has forced air heating) inside. The temperature of shower water usually goes up in the winter. There is more clothing, which usually means more friction, especially with things like stockings and pantyhose. Wearing wool clothing can also irritate and dry the skin.

We found some great easy home-made face masks to moisture our skin in the winter. They are super quick to prepare and your skin will love it.

An egg white mask is good for oily skin with large pores.
Smooth a beaten egg white all over your face, let rest for half-an-hour, and rinse with water.
